My friend and fellow photographer (Cheryl Garrity) had expressed an idea and interest in photographing the Milky Way with the Moses Cone Manor House. While I was visiting the Manor House in October, I decided to return that night and experiment with night photography and light painting. I found that a side view of the Manor House would work best with the Milky Way, and the photograph would also require merging multiple vertical images. I am appreciative for my friend’s idea as well as the opportunity to enjoy the quiet, uncrowded Manor House on a clear autumn night under the light of the stars and Milky Way.
