“Exploring the Great Channels” by Cathy Anderson

The Great Channels of Virginia is a natural preserve area filled with massive boulders that create long and winding rock mazes. The sandstone boulders are reported to be 400 million years old; they are located at the top of Clinch Mountain near Brumley Gap in the southwestern corner of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
