“Rappahannock River Baptism, Falmouth, Virginia, 2017” by Jeromi

Every Summer there is a gathering called Yankee’s of Falmouth where reenacts from both sides come together and show, through living history, how the civilian population of Falmouth, VA worked to support the war. After a primitive church service was held the pastor, Edward Scott Sturdivant (seen on the left) led a few of the congregation down to the banks of the Rappahannock River for a baptism. There was another local church already in the river, but both pastors warmly agreed to baptist together.
